Hello Karina,
Happy New Year to you too.
Glad you visited and commented on the site. It’s a work in progress, that I’m learning everyday. What did Picasso say, “I’m always doing that which I cannot do so that I may learn more”. Well, I would like to reach a comfort level with this powerful tool and so my learning curve is steep. Isn’t this how it is with life though?
We are meant to be living now, or else why are we present now, and we’re given so many ways to learn marvelous parts of ourselves, or else why would so many events get our attention, and the learning curve is steep.
Question is, how do we make the learning curve pleasant, invigorating, progressive, and joyful?
Being present begins with our five senses. So, when for instance I’m getting frustrated with my thwarted attempts to manage my site, I have to first breathe. Then check in with my senses: what am I actually seeing (I HAVE a computer w/dsl access…good thing) what am I actually hearing (I hear quite at the moment, it’s calm outside, I don’t even hear birds, I hear my furnace kick in…reminder of my own power?) and what do I actually feel ( I feel a comfy couch, a warm temp., and I’m fully supported by my floor, and furniture…good feeling to start with). Stay there, breathe again, and begin again from this centered and more calm place. Remind self that there is no failure-only feedback.
So, in response, I’ve let you in a glimpse of my last two hours. Hope it’s helpful in someway to you too.
All the best, and hope to see you at the upcoming Expo in Duluth, Feb 5, Ashland, April 9.
Debbie
